Cassadyne Properties, our locally-owned real estate company, strives to create projects that have a sense of place in a community. A place for people to enjoy where they live, work and play. And this new project is no exception.

PROJECT HISTORY

The block on 20th street between E and F Street currently contains an underutilized office building and an empty warehouse space that we envision as a thoughtful residential apartment building and self-contained parking structure.

In 2018, we acquired the property, and in 2019 we also acquired the adjacent parking lot and warehouse. This acquisition enabled us to pursue our goal to develop much-needed residential space in midtown.

 

A TIMELESS VISION AT 20TH PLACE PROJECT

Bordering the Boulevard Park and Washington Park neighborhoods, this apartment building will be home to artists, state employees, entrepreneurs, service industry workers, small business owners, creative professionals and more, who want to call this neighborhood their home. We will offer studios to small two-bedroom units, thus meeting a range of housing needs and prices. The vacant warehouse will be repurposed to serve as parking for the apartment’s residents, minimizing competition for street parking.

The building’s exterior uses a timeless, simple and sophisticated color scheme with nuances provided by vertical paneling. Large windows create an open feel, balconies invite the outside in and mosaic tile detail pays tribute to the diversity of Sacramento.

From a technical perspective, the project meets all city zoning requirements and is under the maximum allowable height. The project will offer sustainable features, ample bike parking and art features.  Transforming these structures into a residential space will further enhance the neighborhood feel, sustainability and livability.
